“Before meeting Belle, my nutrition was poor, I had no energy and I was feeling unhappy about myself and my body. I tried other diets to lose weight but they would only last for a couple of months and I would gain more weight then I lost. After meeting Belle, she gave me a program to suit me and it was really easy to follow.
I've been on the program now for 21 weeks and I feel like it's changed my life. I have more energy to do more things, my nutrition is a lot better and I'm starting to lose weight and see the changes in my body. “Belle has been wonderful in teaching me more about volume with my meals but also in helping me see what my maintenance calories should have been all along! I'm eating more calories than I was before training with her and have lost 1.5kg since starting with her only a few weeks ago. I still eat chocolate and enjoy meals out, which was important to me!
I train regularly to a program she designed for me too which has changed as we've progressed to better suit my Physio's recommendations. Belle contacted her directly and made it all a really seamless experience for me so all I needed to do was the hard work in the gym! I'm a super social butterfly and travel a lot which Belle has also helped me work through regarding adapting my meals and my not having my gym on hand. “When I began at TYC this year, I had the goal of rehabilitating my injured knee and becoming as strong and fit as I used to be. I wanted to feel strong and practise healthy nutrition. Belle has been an absolute hero in supporting me to achieve these goals.

“I’ve worked with Belle for 12 months now and can attest to how effective the process is. My background is binge eating, which consisted of a constant cycle of bingeing then depriving. When I first commenced working with Belle I thought I wanted a trim body, to be incredibly disciplined with nutrition and fitness, and have a program written for me that I wasn’t allowed to deviate from. This is not what Belle specialises in.
Through my work with Belle, I have repaired my relationship with food, my self image and ideals about my body. I previously would punish myself for eating a food I deemed ‘bad’ or ‘forbidden’ by either restricting, or completely ruining myself at the gym. By the time I engaged with Belle I was beyond exhausted. It’s definitely a long slow process, but so worth it in my opinion. I have learnt that not all weeks are created equal, if I’m working 60 hours including nights shifts, I’m not expected to have the same week as if I’m on leave.
It’s also ok to enjoy all varieties of food without shame or guilt. I’m now able to recognize my hunger cues without counting calories or adhering to a strict food plan. I’ve also started to inadvertently lose weight and tone without following a rigid program. Working on your relationship with food can be a challenging process, however time will pass regardless, and if you have an impaired relationship with self image or food, this is worth the investment.”

“Before starting with Belle I was restricting food, fasting and then overeating because I was starving myself and then I'd beat myself up over my lack of control and then I would start the whole cycle again… and again… and again. For the past 30 years I was depleted, I had lost my spark and was hiding in the shadows. Thankfully I had the courage to let Belle into my life, I was scared that it would just be another waste of time, money and effort for nothing, another diet and another failure. I was so wrong!
With Belle encouraging me I've been motivated to stay consistent with my training (I haven't missed a session). Getting back into strength training after many years and being in my 50's, I thought this was going to be out of the question. I'm stronger than I've ever been and seeing real positive changes in my body shape and huge changes in my mindset.
We made small achievable daily changes to my nutrition, water intake, sleep hygiene, daily steps and most importantly body image. I have more energy, eat mindfully, I'm not focused on the number on the scales and I eat for fuel and enjoyment. I'm learning to love myself, develop self care practices and celebrate the wins however small… I’m nourished.”
