Chocolate Protein Banana Bread

You know when those 3pm cravings hit and you just really want something sweet, but also something that’s going to keep you going til dinner? This is what you need! Bake a whole loaf of the banana bread to spread across the week, especially since you can always freeze it to keep it fresh.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 2 eggs

  • 30g sugar free maple syrup

  • 5g vanilla extract

  • 1.5 cups self-raising flour

  • 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder

  • 1 heaped teaspoon of baking powder

  • 100mL of almond milk

  • 60g chocolate chips

HOW TO MAKE:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees (fan forced) and line a loaf tin.

  2. In a bowl, mash your bananas then add your eggs, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Mix until all combined.

  3. Add your self-raising flour, protein powder and baking powder. Stir through then add your almond milk until it creates a thick batter.

  4. Fold through your chocolate chips.

  5. Transfer mixture to a lined pan, spreading the remaining chocolate chips on top. Place into your oven and bake for 45 minutes, or until cooked.

  6. Let the bread cool before slicing up and serving.

I’ve been heating these bad boys up and having it with some butter on top, and I gotta say, it’s the best. Enjoy!
